WEEK 3 POST 2

For me this topic is very touchy because there is a very fine line between punishing a child for their actions or disciplining them. I feel that discipline is something that is good for children in order to keep them on the correct life paths. But, we have to expect them to make mistakes, just as we did as children. Those mistakes are learning experiences and a good way for them to discipline themselves. The difference is punishment is something that is suppose to hurt you whether physically or emotionally. There is no way that you will learn from getting hurt over something you did, all that will do is create anger. Discipline is a simple way of showing children that what they did was not okay and that it is not going to be acceptable. There has to be a line in which a parent is going too far with their punishment and being too hard on their child. I think that the line depends on the child and whether or not they are emotionally stable enough to handle discipline. All children are different and some need more discipline in their lives then others.
